GM has most fuel cell patents

- A Japanese survey of fuel cell patents from 1980 to end of May 2011 finds that General Motors has the most fuel cell patents in the world.
Ranks 2-5 go to Honda, US Department of Environment, Toyota and Panasonic.
The survey considers both quantity and quality of patents - Toyota had the most patents in the period (810) but the survey considered them to be of lower quality.
