UPS supplies 10kW fuel cell to Wales university

- UK fuel cell manufacturer UPS Systems plc has installed a 10 kW fuel cell, inverters and a controller unit to the Hydrogen Research and Demonstration Centre at the University of Glamorgan, UK, which opened in October 2008.
UK fuel cell manufacturer UPS Systems plc has installed a 10 kW fuel cell, inverters and a controller unit to the Hydrogen Research and Demonstration Centre at the University of Glamorgan, UK, which opened in October 2008.
The centre was initially funded by the European Union, but has long term funding guaranteed by the University. It will develop ways to produce hydrogen from renewable energy and evaluate the benefits of hydrogen as a storage medium for renewable energy.
The power from the fuel cell will be used by the Centre.
