$588k hydrogen research funding vetoed

- The Governor of South Carolina, Mark Sanford, has vetoed $558,000 of funding from the South Carolina state budget, which was planned to be spent on hydrogen research at the University of South Carolina, according to reports in local news service thestate.com
The research was vetoed due to doubts that the funding would create the jobs which had been promised.
The governor also vetoed a $111,000 funding for a technology incubator at the University.
