Proton Power distribution deal with L-3

- UK fuel cell manufacturer Proton Power has signed a Partnership and Exclusivity Agreement with L-3 Communications Combat Propulsion Systems, to sell its fuel cells for use in propulsion systems, marine and universal power supply (UPS) applications in North America, both military and civilian market.
Proton Power develops a PEM fuel cell which runs on pure hydrogen, generating power with an efficiency of 50 per cent; if the heat can be used, overall efficiency rises to 90 per cent, the company claims.
